I went to meet with the members of the Security Council in the week before we voted. I went to New York. I talked to all of them to find out how serious they were about really holding Saddam Hussein accountable.
I came away convinced that, if we worked at it, if we were ready to work and letting Hans Blix do his job and thoroughly go through the inspections, that if push came to shove, they'd be there with us.

Please review the following on my original August posts on this subject - and this additional VIDEO: John Kerry claims "I met with the Security Council of the United Nations"During Kerry's appearance earlier this year at the UNITY Conference he repeated this lie and locked in the time frame for his purported "meeting" to be the week before the vote on Iraq in the Senate.
This delusional behavior of Kerry's is reminiscent of his Christmas in Cambodia. He events these supposedly life altering events to justify his policial posturing. The man will say anything to advance his position as he's increasingly desparate.

There is a Permanent Security Council and an Elected Security Council. Kerry met with the Permanent Council. Oooohhh...John Kerry left out a WORD! That's all you people got?
380 tons of high explosives, that we KNEW about before the war, were stolen out of a secure a facility in Iraq because we screwed up and didn't guard them. Now they're being used to kill our troops.

So he met with one member of the permanent security council and two members of the elected council. He did not meet with the "whole council" by any definition of those words.

anonymous-- NBC is reporting that the cache was gone when the troops got there, your nytimes article is bunk.
That's right, NBC, not newsmax, I dont read that crap either, nor do i read any raving partisan lefty garbage.
NBC reporters were embedded with the troops when they got there. NYTimes running with a false story?!? shocking! They are nearly as partisan as Newsmax, and being a major newspaper that is frightening.
