Dude, Where's Your Spine?
We went to a Michael Moore event last night. Eh, it wasn’t that bad.
Our tickets put us in the 16th row on the floor. We were just close enough that we could watch Moore himself, not the jumbotron. Still we were far enough away that his wide-load didn't obstruct the view of all the books and DVDs lined up behind him that he was trying to sell to the crowd. (war profiteer?)
We were hoping that we’d be able to come back with some outrageous audio or video clips for the blog, but it became clear after listening to Moore speak for a few minutes that nothing really sounds obscene coming from him anymore.
What was most interesting about the speech was the amount of time Moore felt he needed to take in persuading the obviously liberal Bush-hissing crowd that they should vote for Kerry.
With a mocking voice he mimicked the "pure" liberals who are upset with Kerry for voting to give the president authority to go to war:
(AUDIO CLIP: Moore asks crowd to give Kerry a break)
"Give him a break. Because, like us, he's a flawed individual," is the best Moore could come up with in Kerry’s defense? Also offered was the ubiquitous "Nader can’t win" which translates to what has become the Kerry apologist’s mantra, "he’s electable."
What month is it? January, 2004? Is electable still where we’re at?
Yes, that is a group of pro-Nader hecklers at the end of the audio clip. They held up a sign that read, "Dude, where's your spine?"
Attendees of the event agreed not to bring in cameras, video equipment, or audio recording devices – and agreed by entering the arena to be video taped and used in any of Moore’s films without signing off. So in the spirit of Michael Moore we bring you boring bootleg video.
The audience was given a sneak preview of Moore's "pro-Bush" advertisements that he says he'll debut next week:

It's sickening to watch the Liberal Lie Machine at work in Moore's advertisements. I just watched the Stolen Honor video, and realized suddenly how I have been decieved about the Vietnam war for most of my life. Told by media, telivision and books that the Vietnam soldiers were screwed up and should be ashamed of what they have done. I can't believe I let it creep into my view of this country and it's soldiers over the last 20+ years of my life.
The jokes about Kerry and Moore don't even do it justice, because it's too damn serious to believe. Vote for Bush, and set these psychos back a little bit - give them some time to think about their failure - if they can think.

That was hilarious! Man, ya gotta admit: he really nails the Republicans with those ads! :D :D :D I'm totally cracking up, and I was a Bush supporter!

That's all it takes to change your mind about Bush? He didn't say anything! Two possibilities here: 1. You're not intelligent enough to follow the details of real issues so you rely on political advertising to help you decide your support and vote, or 2. you're simply faking to be a conservative cross-over thinking that will affect other conservatives in some greater degree. ???

There were 2 pictures of dead Americans used in Mr. Moore's presentation. I don’t care how funny he is, I think it is wrong for him to use dead Americans to hawk his wares.
